*Prayer for Children Pt 2*
Prov 17:6
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
*Sermon:* As parents, we do everything we can to protect our children. We teach them to look both ways before crossing the street, we pray over their friendships, and we guide them through life’s challenges. But there are moments when we realize we can’t be everywhere they are. That’s where faith comes in.
In the story of Moses, we see a mother, Jochebed, who faced an impossible situation. Pharaoh had ordered the death of all Hebrew baby boys, but Jochebed trusted God. She placed Moses in a basket and set him afloat on the Nile River, committing him to God’s care. And God protected Moses, guiding that basket to Pharaoh’s daughter, who raised him as her own.
Like Jochebed, we must release our children into God’s hands, trusting that His protection is greater than our own. This doesn’t mean we stop parenting or stop being vigilant, but it means we are to surrender our fears and place our faith in the One who never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). One of the most powerful things we can do for our children is to pray for them. Prayer is not a passive act; it is a weapon of faith that invites God’s presence into their lives. Pray for a hedge of protection around your children, as Job did for his family (Job 1:10). Ask God to shield them from physical harm, guard their hearts from emotional wounds, and protect their minds from lies that seek to steal their joy.

15. My children are hidden in the secret place of the Most High, safe from all evil in Jesus name.
16. I bind every spirit of peer pressure or wrong influence over my children’s lives.
17. Every demonic assignment against my children’s destiny is shattered by God’s power.
18. I declare my children’s steps are ordered by the Lord, they are protected from every wrong step in Jesus name.
19. Every evil eye monitoring my children for harm is blinded and destroyed.
20. I command divine wisdom to guide my children, keeping them from dangerous paths in Jesus name.
21. Every generational curse threatening my children’s safety is broken in Jesus’ name.
22. I decree that my children are surrounded by God’s favor as a shield against all attacks.
23. I declare my children’s lives are preserved by God’s mighty hand, now and forever.
