Exodus 5:6-9
“And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying, Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves… but the tale of the bricks… shall not diminish.”
*Sermon:* In the book of Exodus, we behold a people in bondage—Israel under the iron heel of Pharaoh. But Pharaoh is more than a man; he is a type, a shadow, a picture of the ultimate oppressor: Satan himself. And just as Pharaoh increased the burden when deliverance drew nigh, so the devil heaps strawless tasks upon God’s children when freedom is at the door. Today, i declare: You shall overcome every Satanic taskmaster!
*The nature of the taskmaster*
1. The taskmaster demands the impossible – Pharaoh ordered the straw to be removed, yet the quota unchanged. Satan says, “Serve God, but without his peace. Pray, but without faith. Work, but without rest.”
2. The taskmaster uses familiar voices – The taskmasters were Egyptians, but the officers were Israelites (v. 14). The enemy often speaks through those closest to us: doubt from a friend, condemnation from a spouse, accusation from your own mind.
3. The taskmaster increases the burden of a person at the point of breakthrough – Moses had just declared, “Let my people go!” then the taskmaster arose to stop the exodus of the Israelites. The devil’s counterattack is always fiercest when the word of deliverance has been spoken.

1. Thank God for for his faithfulness upon your life he is worthy to be praised
2. Father, by the blood of Jesus, I overthrow every Pharaoh-like taskmaster assigned to oppress my destiny.
3. Let every satanic quota of affliction placed upon my life be cancelled by the voice of the Lord.
4. O Lord, remove the straw of labour without result from every Egyptian taskmaster over my health, finances, and family.
5. I command every demonic officer sent to me, speaking discouragement to be silenced now.
6. Let the rod of the holyghost swallow every serpent of limitation in my life.
7. Father, release the ten plagues of judgment upon every stronghold of spiritual Egypt holding me.
8. Every chain of slavery forged in my foundation, break by the anointing!
9. I decree: No more brick without straw! I receive divine supply for every assignment.
10. Let the east wind of the Holy Ghost blow away every locust of devourers eating my harvest.
11. I pass over every death angel assigned against my household by the blood on the doorpost.
12. Red Sea of impossibility before me, part now in Jesus’ name!
13. Every pursuing chariot of Pharaoh, drown in the waters of judgment.
14. Pillar of fire, stand between me and every night attacker in Jesus name, my Pharaoh must drown!
15. I drink from the Rock of Ages; let every wilderness thirst in my life be quenched.
16. Every golden calf of idolatry in my heart, be ground to powder.
17. Let the cloud of glory cover every area of exposure in my life in Jesus mighty name.
18. I reject the evil report of the ten spies; I possess my Canaan by faith and fire.
