Deuteronomy means "Second Law" — The English title "Deuteronomy" comes from the Greek word deuteronomion, meaning "second law" or "repeated law." It's not entirely new laws but a restatement and expansion of God's commands given earlier at Mount Sinai, tailored for a new generation of Israelites.

**Deuteronomy 7:5 (KJV)**
“But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.”

Beloved brethren,
Happy and blessed Monday to you, February 16th, 2026! As we advance into this week, the Spirit of God is issuing a divine mandate: **You are called and equipped to dismantle ancient strongholds manifested as idols and altars—every entrenched seat of idolatry, whether from generations past or hidden in modern forms, that exalts itself against the knowledge of God!**
Ancient strongholds often take the form of altars and idols—physical or spiritual high places where false gods were worshipped, giving legal ground to demonic forces. These include generational altars of Baal, Asherah, or any modern equivalents like the Idol of the heart, the Idol of the heart is a destructive idol that must be demolished, like greed, fear, addiction, pride, or anything that takes God's place in our hearts. The Bible commands total destruction: tear down altars, break images, cut down groves, burn graven images with fire (Deuteronomy 7:5; Deuteronomy 12:3; Exodus 34:13). Just as Gideon demolished his father's altar to Baal (Judges 6), Hezekiah removed high places (2 Kings 18:4), and Josiah purged the land of every idolatrous remnant (2 Kings 23), you are authorized this week to uproot and demolish every ancient altar and idol in your life, family lineage, finances, health, marriage, and destiny.
Our weapons are mighty through God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Idols and altars create fortified barriers—imaginations, high things, and thoughts opposing God's truth—but through spiritual warfare, prayer, the blood of Jesus, and obedience, we cast them down and bring every thought captive to Christ. No ancient altar can stand against the fire of God's Word and the authority in the name of Jesus!
This new week is your season of total demolition of idolatrous strongholds! Rise in faith, repent of any hidden idolatry, engage in targeted warfare, and watch ancient altars crumble, idols shatter, yokes break, and pure worship flow unhindered.

1. **Destroy the Altars Completely**
Tear down every high place and altar raised against God—leave no remnant (Deuteronomy 7:5)!
2. **Burn the Images with Fire**
Demolish idols in the spirit—cut down groves, break pillars, and obliterate their names (Deuteronomy 12:3)!
3. **Pull Down Strongholds**
Use divine weapons to cast down every high thing and take thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)!
Application for your life right now:
- Meditate deeply on Deuteronomy 7:5, Deuteronomy 12:3, and 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 throughout this day and week.
- In every area of resistance or bondage, decree: “By the fire of God, I dismantle every ancient altar and idol in Jesus’ name!”

Rise with these prayers in greater authority, wield your spiritual weapons, repent and renounce every form of idolatry, and watch ancient strongholds collapse, chains shatter, destinies liberated, and God's glory fill your life.
May the Lord reveal every hidden altar and idol, empower you to dismantle them completely this week, grant you victory over every idolatrous stronghold, and establish you in undefiled worship in Jesus’ name.
