"Babel" comes from Hebrew "balal" (to confuse), a wordplay on the Babylonian "Bab-ilu" (Gate of God), explaining linguistic diversity.
*Prayer Topic:* *I set confusion in the camp of the enemy*
Sermon: God can disrupt the plans of our enemies by setting confusion in their midst, as illustrated by the Tower of Babel. As we see in
Gen 11:1-9 "And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Key point: The Tower of Babel teaches us that when enemies rise against God's people—whether spiritual forces, personal adversaries, or systemic oppressions—He can and will set confusion in their camp. Psalm 55:9 echoes this: "Destroy, O Lord, divide their tongues; for I see violence and strife in the city." Just as at Babel, God divides tongues, plans, and alliances.
Think of other biblical examples. In the camp of the Midianites, God confused them so that they turned their swords on each other (Judges 7:22). When Ahithophel counseled Absalom against David, God confounded that wisdom, leading to its rejection (2 Samuel 17:14). And in the New Testament, Jesus Himself promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church (Matthew 16:18), implying that every demonic strategy will be scattered like the builders of Babel. In your life, who or what is your "Tower of Babel"? Is it enemies plotting in secret, whispering lies and schemes? Is it opposition at work, in your family, or even within the church? Declare today: God will set confusion in their camp! Their unity will fracture, their words will fail, and their plans will come to nothing. As Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." If God can redirect kings, He can certainly confuse your foes.

Prayer Points
1. Thank God for your life, give him praise he is worthy to be praised
2. Heavenly Father, just as You confused the languages at Babel, let confusion reign in the camp of every enemy plotting against my destiny in Jesus’ name (Genesis 11:7).
3. Lord, scatter every evil counsel and strategy formed against me, as You scattered the builders of Babel (Genesis 11:8).
4. Father, dismantle the unity of my adversaries, causing their alliances to crumble like the tower in Shinar (Genesis 11:6–8).
5. O God, frustrate the plans of those who rise against Your purpose for my life, turning their wisdom to foolishness (Psalm 55:9).
6. Lord, let every communication among my enemies be filled with misunderstanding and discord, as at Babel (Genesis 11:7).
7. Almighty God, divide the tongues of those conspiring against me, making their words ineffective and their plans void (Psalm 55:9).
8. Father, by Your power, disrupt every spiritual and physical stronghold erected against my progress, as You halted Babel’s construction (Genesis 11:8).
9. Lord, let the counsel of my enemies, like that of Ahithophel, be turned to foolishness and rejected (2 Samuel 17:14).
10. O God of hosts, scatter every demonic force gathered against me, as You scattered the people of Shinar (Genesis 11:9).
11. Father, bring down every prideful plan raised against Your will in my life, as You humbled the builders of Babel (Genesis 11:4).
12. Lord, let every strategy of the enemy against my family, finances, and health be thrown into disarray in Jesus’ name.
13. Almighty God, cause confusion in the coordination of my adversaries, making their efforts ineffective (Judges 7:22).
14. Father, intervene sovereignly in the camp of my enemies, disrupting their plans as You did at Babel (Genesis 11:6).
15. Lord, nullify every hidden plot and secret scheme against me, rendering them powerless by Your mighty hand.
16. O God, expose and confuse every hidden agenda of the enemy, bringing their works to light and ruin (Job 5:12).
17. Father, break every unholy alliance formed against me, causing division and chaos in their midst (Isaiah 19:2).
18. Lord, turn the weapons of my enemies against themselves, as You caused confusion among the Midianites (Judges 7:22).
19. Heavenly Father, confuse every plan to harm me or my loved ones, shielding us with Your divine protection (Psalm 91:11).
20. Lord, let every opposition to my breakthrough be confounded and fail, as Babel’s tower remained unfinished (Genesis 11:8).
21. Father, send confusion into the ranks of every demonic force assigned against me, dismantling their operations (Ephesians 6:12).
22. Lord, grant me victory by confusing the camp of my enemies, ensuring their plans come to nothing (Psalm 33:10).
23. I thank You, Father, for setting confusion in the enemy’s camp and giving me the victory through Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:57).
