John 11:38-44
Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

In John 11:38-44, Jesus stands before Lazarus’ tomb, where death seems final. Yet, He proves that no situation is too hopeless for His power. “Dead bones shall rise again” is God’s promise to revive what seems lost. Let’s explore how this passage brings hope to our dead places.
1. The Scene of Despair (John 11:38-39)
Lazarus had been dead four days, sealed in a tomb. Martha protests, “Lord, there’s a stench!” The situation felt hopeless, like the dead bones in our lives—broken dreams, relationships, or faith. But Jesus isn’t intimidated by our despair.
2. The Call to Faith (John 11:40)
Jesus challenges Martha: “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.” Faith doesn’t ignore reality; it trusts God’s power over it. Jesus calls us to believe He can revive what’s dead in our lives.
3. The Power of His Voice (John 11:41-43)
With a loud cry, “Lazarus, come forth!” Jesus speaks life into death. His voice, the same that created the world, has authority over every dead place. He’s still speaking to your situation today.
4. The Miracle of Resurrection (John 11:44)
Lazarus walks out, alive but bound. Jesus commands, “Loose him, and let him go.” Christ does not only raise us but calls His church to help us shed the graveclothes of our past.

What dead bones do you need Jesus to revive? Bring them to Him, believe His power, listen for His voice, and let His church help you walk in freedom. No tomb is too sealed for the God of resurrection.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. No matter how dead your situation feels, His voice can call it to life. Dead bones shall rise again because our God reigns over death!

10. I bind and cast out every spirit of doubt that challenges Your power, proclaiming that my dead bones shall rise again.
11. Father, cleanse my life of the stench of failure and disappointment, and let Your glory shine through me.
12. Lord, frustrate every plan of the enemy to kill my testimony or destiny, shielding me as You did Lazarus.
13. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh fire into my spirit, reviving my passion for You and Your kingdom.
14. I command every stone of fear, sickness, or opposition blocking my breakthrough to be rolled away in Jesus’ name.
15. Father, restore broken relationships in my family, bringing unity and life where division has reigned.
16. Like Martha and Mary, I boldly approach You, Lord, trusting You to intervene in my hopeless situations.
17. Lord, fill me with a worshipful heart like Mary’s, honoring You even in the midst of my trials.
18. I rebuke every spirit of grief and hopelessness, receiving Your peace and joy to replace my sorrow.
19. Father, let every dead situation in my life become a platform for Your glory to be revealed.
20. Lord, surround me with godly believers to help me shed the graveclothes of my past and walk in Your freedom.
21. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, for Your resurrection power overcomes all darkness.
22. Lord, call forth every God-given purpose or calling that has died, and let it live again for Your glory.
23. I proclaim that whatever is dead in my life shall rise again, for Jesus reigns over every circumstance with life-giving power.
