Deuteronomy 7:16
You must destroy all the peoples the Lord your God gives over to you. Do not look on them with pity and do not serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.
Sermon: Beloved, today the Lord speaks to us about destroying evil altars—not just physical stones in ancient Canaan, but every hidden platform where darkness still speaks against our lives, families, destinies, and futures.
In Deuteronomy 7, God was preparing Israel to enter the Promised Land. He commanded total destruction of the nations and their idolatrous systems—not out of cruelty, but out of holy jealousy for His people. Why? Because those altars were more than religious sites. They were spiritual strongholds fueling immorality, child sacrifice, divination, and covenants with demons. If left standing, they would become a snare—a trap that would entangle Israel, draw them into compromise, and ultimately bring God's judgment upon them.
Today, evil altars still exist. They may be:
Generational patterns of sin, sickness, poverty, or failure passed down through family lines
Occult involvement (even unknowingly) through objects, oaths, or ancestral practices
Modern idols like addiction, unforgiveness, secret immorality, or anything given priority over God
These altars “speak” curses, limitations, and delays into lives. But hear this: the same God who said “destroy” in Deuteronomy 7 is the same God who fights for you today through the finished work of Jesus Christ!
Under the New Covenant, we don’t wield physical swords—we wield spiritual weapons:
The name of Jesus that is above every name
The blood of Jesus that breaks every covenant
Prayer and fasting that pulls down strongholds
Repentance and renunciation that cancels legal claims
The Word of God declared in faith

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the victory already won through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank You for exposing and disarming every evil altar working against my life. Thank You for Your consuming fire that destroys every work of darkness. Thank You for making me more than a conqueror. Glory and honor belong to You forever, in Jesus’ name.
2. Every evil altar raised against my life, catch fire now and be destroyed completely, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every satanic altar speaking against my destiny, be silenced and demolished by fire, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any evil altar from my father's house monitoring my progress, collapse and burn to ashes, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every wicked altar erected in my mother's lineage against my breakthrough, be uprooted and consumed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Any ancestral evil altar demanding my blood or glory, shatter into pieces and never rise again, in the name of Jesus.
7. Every environmental evil altar attacking my success, be crushed to powder right now, in the name of Jesus.
8. Any altar crying against my marriage or children, catch fire and be terminated forever, in the name of Jesus.
9. Every hidden evil altar operating in my dreams or subconscious, be exposed and destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
10. Any altar of delay and stagnation working against me, be pulled down and burned, in the name of Jesus.
11. Every altar of poverty and financial hardship raised against my life, collapse under divine judgment, in the name of Jesus.
12. Any satanic priest ministering at evil altars against me, fall down and die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
13. Every evil altar holding my blessings captive, release them now and catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
14. Any generational evil altar enforcing curses in my family line, be broken and destroyed utterly, in the name of Jesus.
15. Every altar of sickness and infirmity speaking against my health, be demolished by fire, in the name of Jesus.
16. Any evil altar monitoring my steps and blocking opportunities, be blinded and consumed, in the name of Jesus.
17. Every altar of witchcraft and sorcery raised against my progress, explode and scatter, in the name of Jesus.
18. Any evil altar that has my picture, name, or clothing, catch fire and be nullified now, in the name of Jesus.
19. Every strongman guarding evil altars against my life, fall to the ground and be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
20. Any evil altar causing repeated failure and disappointment, be uprooted and burned forever, in the name of Jesus.
21. Every satanic altar exchanging my virtues or glory, release them and catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
22. Any evil altar from past covenants or oaths speaking against me, be revoked and demolished by fire, in the name of Jesus.
23. Every remaining evil altar in my life, family, environment, workplace, or anywhere else—be destroyed completely by the fire of the Holy Ghost, never to be rebuilt again, in the mighty name of Jesus!
