*Sermon:* The strongman is a spiritual force highered by the kingdom of darkness to hold a person, family or territory to captivity, in the days of King Saul the Israelites King the strongman was Goliath, he was called the champion of the Philistines, he was an oppressive figure which is a common trait of the strongman. The strongman can also hold to hostage certain areas of a person's life, Namaan was a captain and an honorable man but he was a leper, in other areas of Namaan's life he was fine but in the area of his health he suffered because he was held captive by the strongman. As a believer you need courage and determination to bring the strongman down, to bring down the strongman you must not look at your inexperience, inadequacies, etc. But you must focus on he that is in you, David was not as big or as experienced as Goliath the champion of the Philistines, David was never even a Champion but he had God behind him, the strongman that held the mad man of Jesus captive when he saw Jesus immediately recognized him, you need to be confident to overcome the strongman of fear, you need courage to overcome the strongman of discouragement.
