Gen 49:8-12
8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
*Sermon: Judah was the fourth born among the Children of Jacob but he became a key figure as his descendants were seen to be elevated above the others, it is from Judah's tribe that King David came from and established Jerusalem as it's Capital, also in Judah we have the messianic lineage. Judah made some mistakes in his life,
Judah wasn’t a completely good example of godly character. He suggested a profit motive in getting rid of Joseph (Genesis 37:26). He did not deal faithfully with his daughter-in-law Tamar (Genesis 38:26), and he had sex with her as a prostitute (Genesis 38:18), But he showed good character when he interceded and offered himself as a substitute for Benjamin (Genesis 44:18-34). Overall, this blessing is an example of the richness of God’s grace to those who do not deserve it. The grace of God found Judah, there is a saying that "In God's garden of grace even a broken tree can bear fruit" this was the summary of Judah's life, grace found him and grace will find you this Month in the name of Jesus
