2 Kings 10:18-28
And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
19 Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
20 And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.
21 And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.
22 And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.
23 And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the Lord, but the worshippers of Baal only.
24 And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.
25 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
26 And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.
27 And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.
28 Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

(The account of Jehu destroying the priests and temple of Baal)
Beloved, hear the word of the Lord today: There are altars in this world, and there are priests who serve those altars. Some altars are raised to the living God; they burn with incense of prayer, praise, and obedience. But there are evil altars, raised in darkness, sustained by blood, witchcraft, idolatry, immorality, and every work of the flesh. And every evil altar has a priest, human or demonic, who keeps the fire burning, who offers the sacrifices, who enforces the covenants of darkness over families, cities, and nations.
Spiritually speaking, a “priest of an evil altar” can be:
- A witch or occult personality assigned against your destiny
- A demonic spirit that enforces generational curses
- A person in authority (family member, boss, pastor, politician) who secretly or openly serves powers of darkness
- Even the flesh itself when it is enthroned and allowed to rule your life
Today the Holy Ghost says: It is time to SUBDUE the priests of every evil altar that has been speaking against your life!
*1. Identify the Altar and Its Priest*
You cannot subdue what you have not discerned. Elijah did not waste time on 850 false prophets until he first identified the altar of Baal (1 Kings 18). Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes. What recurring pattern of failure, sickness, delay, hatred, poverty, or confusion keeps showing up? Trace it to its root. Behind every stubborn problem is an altar, and a priest ministering on it. Some of you have marine altars, ancestral altars, sexual altars, occult altars still demanding sacrifice from your life. The priest may be long dead, but the spirit that used him is still active. Identify it today!
*2. Refuse to Eat Their Sacrifices*
2 Kings 10:19 – Jehu declared a great sacrifice to Baal so that every priest would gather. But he had no intention of eating at Baal’s table. Many believers are still bound because they are still eating the sacrifices of evil altars: food offered to idols, immoral relationships, money from unclean sources, traditions that glorify demons. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:20–21, “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils.” Cut it off! Stop honoring what dishonors God.
*3. Use the Authority of the Blood and the Name*
Revelation 12:11 – “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” The strongest weapon against any priest of darkness is the Blood of Jesus. Plead the Blood! The Name of Jesus is higher than any other name, including the names of territorial spirits, marine queens, or ancestral strongmen. Philippians 2:10 says at that Name every knee must bow. When you stand in the finished work of Calvary, no priest of an evil altar can stand.
*4. Destroy the Altar, Slay the Priest, Burn the Grove*
Jehu did not negotiate. He did not dialogue. He did not say, “Let us coexist.” He slaughtered every priest of Baal, broke down the pillar, and turned the temple into a latrine (2 Kings 10:27). That is prophetic language!
- Destroy every physical object linking you to darkness: charms, rings, clothes, pictures, books, music.
- In prayer, command the fire of God to burn every evil altar to ashes.
- Pronounce death upon every demonic priest assigned against you: “You priest of darkness ministering against my destiny, I slay you by the sword of the Spirit! Die by fire in Jesus’ name!”
*5. Occupy Till He Comes*
After Jehu destroyed Baal worship, the Bible says Israel had peace from that particular idolatry for a season. But because he did not walk fully in the ways of God, new altars eventually rose again. After you pull down, you must build up the altar of the Lord in your life: daily prayer, fasting, the Word, holiness, giving, worship. If you leave the land empty, seven worse spirits will return (Matthew 12:43–45).

Prayer points
1. Father, I thank You because You have already given me victory over every priest of evil altars through the Blood of Jesus; I bless Your holy name!
2. Every priest of darkness ministering against my life on any evil altar, I overthrow your authority right now in the name of Jesus!
3. You evil priest assigned to renew covenants of affliction over my destiny, fall down and die by fire!
4. I command the altar where my name, picture, hair, or any of my belongings is placed, catch fire and burn to ashes now!
5. Every satanic priest invoking my name, my children’s names, or my family’s names on evil altars, receive the judgment of God!
6. You occult personality, witch, or wizard standing as priest over my case, be disgraced and paralyzed by the power in the Blood of Jesus!
7. I slay every human agent, known or unknown, ministering as priest against me on any demonic altar; die by the sword of the Spirit!
8. Every evil priest blowing my blessings away from the altar of darkness, somersault and perish!
9. Let the thunder of God locate and dismantle every gathering of evil priests convened because of me!
10. I command blindness and deafness to fall upon every evil priest monitoring my progress!
11. Every evil altar raising sacrifices against my breakthrough, explode by Holy Ghost fire!
12. You priest of Baal, priest of marine, priest of ancestral powers, your time is up—be roasted!
13. I release the angels of war to uproot and slay every stubborn priest refusing to let me go!
14. Every covenant between me and any evil priest, known or unknown, break by the Blood of Jesus!
15. Let the ground open and swallow every evil priest running around with my matter this season!
16. I command the fire of God to burn the garments, regalia, and instruments of every evil priest assigned to my life!
17. Every evil mouth pronouncing curses upon me from any altar, be condemned and shut forever!
18. You territorial priest, family priest, village priest, marine priest—I cut off your head by the sword of fire!
19. I recover every blessing stolen from me on any evil altar seven-fold!
20. Let the consuming fire of God turn every evil altar raised against me into a permanent graveyard!
21. From today, any priest that rises against me shall fall for my sake!
22. I walk in total dominion; no evil priest shall ever stand against me again!
23. Father, let Your glory overshadow me and my family; every evil priest is hereby subdued forever in Jesus’ mighty name!
