Acts 28:5
3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
*Sermon:* One of the things that the Lord Jesus said before he left was that we will take up serpents and it will not hurt you Mark 16:17-19 "
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God." This is the grace and authority that will be giving to you in the name of Jesus, the viper came and wrapped itself on Paul's hand, it is important to note that the viper has one of the most poisonous venom among other types of snake and is very dangerous, not to talk of the fact that this viper must have been triggered giving the fact that it came out of the heat of the wood that Paul had made, when the Serpent wrapped itself around Paul's hand it was with the intention to bite him but instead it fell into the fire, Note that it was not Paul who went about looking for Serpent, it was not Daniel that threw himself in the den of the lions, but God delivered them in dangerous and delicate situations, we are praying for authority of Christ right now because we ought to be ever ready as a good soldier of Christ.

2. As a good soldier of Christ i become ever ready and prepared in the name of Jesus

6. I put an end to the reign of any Satanic viper around me in the name of Jesus
7. Every unsuspecting viper hiding to strike be exposed by the fire of the holyghost in the name of Jesus
8. I shall not be put to shame in the name of Jesus
9. I refuse to fall prey to the enemy on the name of Jesus
10. I shake off the viper around my life into the fire in the name of Jesus
11. By the authority i have in Christ i declare that every viper around me is exposed in the name of Jesus
12. I receive authority to pick up serpents and they will not hurt me in the name of Jesus
13. Authority from above rest upon my life in the name of Jesus
14. I destroy every Serpentine altar by the fire of the holyghost in the name of Jesus
15. I receive grace to be prepared and ever ready to subdue the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus
16. In this battle of destiny i will not be caught off guard in the name of Jesus
17. I receive the baptism of unquenchable fire and authority in the name of Jesus (Repeat this for five minutes)
18. From today my destiny is beautfied in the name of Jesus
19. I resist the powers resisting my destiny in the name of Jesus
20. I glide on the wings of mercy and i possess my possession in the name of Jesus
21. Lord Jesus, have mercy upon my life and give me my harvest in the name of Jesus
22. I come out of wherever i have been locked up in the name of Jesus
23. Father lord shield me from the fiery darts of the enemy in the name of Jesus
