**40 Days of Mercy #Day 26**
*Apostle Momo Promise*
**Quote of the Day**
In moments when you feel hidden, overlooked, or limited by your past, the God of mercy draws near and declares His goodness over your life. He is not withholding — He shows mercy to whom He will show mercy.
**Did you know?**
Pharaoh’s daughter named him Moses (Moshe in Hebrew), which sounds like the Hebrew word for “drawn out” (because she drew him from the water). But it also comes from an Egyptian root meaning “son” or “born of” (like in names such as Thutmose or Ramesses).
**Sermon:**
Beloved, welcome to **Day 26** of our transformative journey in the **40 Days of Mercy**! Today, we anchor deeply in **Exodus 33:19** (NIV):
*"And the Lord said, 'I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'"*
In a critical season, after the golden calf incident and amid uncertainty about God's presence going with the people, Moses boldly cried out for God's presence and glory. In response, the merciful God invited Moses into a deeper encounter on the mountain. He promised to let all His goodness pass before Moses and to proclaim His name — revealing His sovereign mercy and compassion. God declared that He shows mercy according to His perfect will, not based on human merit, but out of His gracious character.
This encounter reveals the heart of God's mercy — He responds to desperate cries for His presence, reveals His goodness and name, and exercises sovereign compassion even in seasons of failure or limitation. His mercy is not random; it is purposeful, personal, and powerful. It transforms fear into intimacy, doubt into revelation, and hiding into divine encounter.
This is the same merciful God who sees you today! In moments when you feel hidden, overlooked, or limited by your past failures or circumstances, the God of mercy draws near. He is not distant or withholding. His compassion moves Him to reveal His goodness, proclaim His name over your life, and extend mercy where it seems undeserved. No matter how imperfect your journey has been or how much you long for His manifest presence, His mercy pursues you. It causes His goodness to pass before you, silences condemnation with compassion, and opens new dimensions of glory and favor.
As you pray these points with faith, open your heart to receive this revealing, proclaiming, and sovereign mercy — let it turn your limitations into encounters with God's goodness, your hiding into bold intimacy, your past mistakes into platforms for His compassion, and your ordinary moments into divine revelation. The God who showed mercy to Moses is showing mercy to you; His mercy is here to reveal, restore, and establish you!

**Scripture for Meditation**
**Exodus 33:19** (NIV)
*"And the Lord said, 'I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'"*
Reflect on how God’s mercy responded to Moses’ cry, revealed His goodness and name, and exercised sovereign compassion — He is doing the same for you today!
