*40 Days of Mercy #Day 22*

**Apostle Momo Promise

**Quote of the Day**

In seasons of lack, dryness, and despair, God’s mercy supplies what we cannot provide ourselves—multiplying the little we have and turning scarcity into supernatural abundance.

*Did you know?*

Elijah had no family background, no genealogy, no birth story. He suddenly shows up in 1 Kings 17 to confront the wicked King Ahab and declares a drought

**Sermon:**

Beloved, welcome to **Day 22** of our transformative journey in the **40 Days of Mercy**! Today, we anchor deeply in **1 Kings 17:7-17** (NIV), the powerful account of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath.

Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the LORD came to him: “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.” So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?” As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”

“As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”

Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.’” She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

What a profound demonstration of God’s mercy! In the midst of a national drought and personal desperation, this widow faced certain death with her son. Her resources were exhausted—just a handful of flour and a little oil. Yet when she obeyed the word of the Lord through His prophet by putting God first with her last meal, divine mercy intervened. The little she had was multiplied. Scarcity gave way to supernatural supply. Day after day, the jar and jug never emptied.

This is the heart of God’s mercy toward you today! In your own seasons of dryness—when finances are low, hope is fading, resources are dwindling, or circumstances scream “this is the end”—God sees your “handful of flour and little oil.” He does not abandon you in lack. Instead, His mercy commands provision, turns your obedience into overflow, and sustains you beyond what is naturally possible.

His mercy meets you exactly where you are—desperate yet faithful, empty yet trusting. It withholds the destruction you fear and releases supernatural increase you could never manufacture. No matter how depleted your strength, health, finances, or faith may feel, God’s merciful word over you is: “The jar will not be used up and the jug will not run dry.”

As you pray these points with faith, open your heart to receive this active, providing mercy—let it silence every voice of fear and lack, multiply the little you have, and empower you to walk in daily divine supply. The same God who sustained Elijah and the widow is here to sustain and overflow your life with His mercy!

**Prayer Points**

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your merciful provision in seasons of lack—thank You that even when my resources are exhausted, You multiply the little I have, in Jesus’ name!

2. Lord, by Your great mercy, speak to every dried-up brook in my life—every area of scarcity and dryness—and direct me to the place of supernatural supply.

3. Merciful God, just as You sent Elijah to the widow, send help and provision to me in my time of need; let Your word of increase come to me now.

4. O Gracious Provider, I surrender my “handful of flour and little oil”—my limited resources, strength, and faith—into Your hands; multiply them for Your glory.

5. Father, remove every fear of lack and death from my heart; grant me courage to obey Your instructions even when they seem illogical, in Jesus’ name.

6. Lord, as the widow put You first with her last meal, help me to prioritize You and Your kingdom above my own needs, and watch Your mercy overflow in my life.

7. By Your mercy, cause every jar of flour and jug of oil in my life—finances, health, opportunities, and anointing—not to be used up or run dry.

8. In my weaknesses, struggles, and daily battles with insufficiency, release Your sustaining mercy—strengthen me and provide for me day by day.

9. Holy Spirit, deepen my understanding of Your mercy in 1 Kings 17:7-17; stir in me greater faith and obedience to trust You with my little.

10. O God, break every cycle of poverty, debt, and lack holding me captive—by Your mercy, usher me into seasons of supernatural abundance and overflow.

11. Saturate me with Your providing mercy, making me confident, peaceful, and secure even when circumstances look bleak and resources seem finished.

12. Surprise me today, Lord, with fresh proofs of Your mercy—sudden supply, unexpected favor, multiplied resources, and breakthroughs as You declare “It shall not be used up.”

13. Guard my heart and steps from doubt and disobedience; keep me aligned with Your merciful leading and the path of faith and obedience.

14. Transform every season of dryness, lack, or desperation into a powerful testimony of Your redeeming and providing mercy—turn my story into one that glorifies Your grace.

15. Through the blood of Jesus, I receive and declare Your merciful provision over every area of my life—securing daily supply, increase, direction, and abundant life.

16. Ignite in me a deeper hunger for Your mercy; draw me into intimate fellowship, passionate worship, and obedient living as one who has been graciously sustained.

17. Perfect all that concerns me—my finances, family needs, purpose, and destiny—with the steady, providing care of my merciful God.

18. Make my life a living witness to Your compassionate mercy; use me to extend the same provision and hope to others who are facing lack and despair.

19. Grant me grace to follow You closely, trusting Your mercy daily, walking in obedience, and reflecting Your heart of supernatural supply to a fearful world.

20. I trust in Your mercy that provides, multiplies, and sustains—I praise You in advance for filling my jars and jugs with unending supply!

21. By the blood of Jesus, remove every barrier to Your provision; release floods of mercy, increase, breakthroughs, and daily sustenance in my life today.

22. Shatter every limitation, fear, and cycle of scarcity; usher me into new dimensions of abundance, faith, and fruitfulness through Your merciful love.

23. Merciful Father, let Your supernatural provision manifest in my business, career, ministry, and every need—multiply the little and cause it never to run dry.

God bless you richly!!!

Read **1 Kings 17:7-17** (reflect on how God showed mercy to the desperate widow—He sees your situation the same way today and says, “Do not fear. The jar shall not be used up and the jug shall not run dry.”).
