**40 Days of Mercy #Day 27**
*Apostle Momo Promise*
**Quote of the Day**
His mercy does not ignore pain; it meets it with compassion, turns mourning into joy, and releases what was withheld.
**Did you know?**
In 1 Samuel 1, Hannah’s name means “grace” or “favor.” Despite her deep distress and provocation by Peninnah, she made a vow at the house of the Lord and received the prophetic word from Eli: “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.” Her persistence in prayer and vow led to the birth of Samuel, whose name means “heard by God” or “God has heard.”
*Sermon:*
Beloved, welcome to **Day 27** of our transformative journey in the **40 Days of Mercy**! Today, we anchor deeply in **1 Samuel 1:9-28** (NIV):
After they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah rose and presented herself before the Lord… In her deep anguish she prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life…”
Eli the priest observed her and initially thought she was drunk, but upon hearing her honest plea, he spoke a word of peace and blessing: “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.” Hannah went away, her face no longer downcast. In due time, the Lord remembered Hannah, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” Later, she fulfilled her vow and brought the child to the house of the Lord.
In the midst of barrenness, mockery, and deep emotional pain, Hannah refused to remain silent or bitter. She poured out her soul before the Lord with raw honesty and a costly vow. The merciful God, who sees every hidden tear and hears every unspoken cry, responded with divine remembrance and opened her womb. What seemed impossible became a powerful testimony and the birth of a prophetic voice that would shift a generation.
This story reveals the heart of God’s mercy — He hears the cry of the desperate, remembers the forgotten, and transforms seasons of delay and humiliation into divine purpose. His mercy does not ignore pain; it meets it with compassion, turns mourning into joy, and releases what was withheld. Hannah’s persistence in prayer and surrender moved the hand of God.
This is the same merciful God who sees you today! In moments when you feel barren, delayed, mocked, or forgotten — whether in your womb of destiny, ministry, marriage, or breakthrough — the God of mercy draws near. He is not indifferent to your tears. His compassion moves Him to remember you, open closed doors, and birth what you have long cried for. No matter how long the waiting has been or how loud the voice of provocation, His mercy hears, remembers, and fulfills.
As you pray these points with faith, open your heart to receive this remembering, opening, and birthing mercy — let it turn your barrenness into fruitfulness, your tears into testimony, your delay into divine appointment, and your pain into a powerful prophetic voice. The God who remembered Hannah is remembering you; His mercy is here to hear, restore, and establish you!

**Scripture for Meditation**
**1 Samuel 1:9-28** (NIV)
*(Key verses: 1 Samuel 1:27-28)*
*"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”*
Reflect on how God’s mercy heard Hannah’s cry, remembered her in her barrenness, and turned her pain into the birth of Samuel — a vessel for His glory. He is doing the same for you today!
God bless you richly!!!
