Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
*Sermon:* Jesus in this passage sends his disciples to go into the world and make disciples of all nations because all power and authority has been given to him. Jesus in this passage equates himself to God because he says "...all power in heaven and earth..." has been given to him. Jesus gave us a command and not an advice or suggestion to go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them into Christ. There are people we might have to speak to them to repent and give their lives to Christ but they will not listen if our word is not backed with authority, the foremost purpose of authority is to profit the kingdom. let us key into the authority that we have in Christ and use it for the purpose of soul winning and bringing people out of darkness into the light
