**Did you know?**
Angels can look like ordinary people — Sometimes they're unrecognizable as angels until later. The Bible even says some have "entertained angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:2). They might have shown up as strangers who helped you!
**Sermon:**
Beloved, welcome to **Day 14** of our transformative journey in the **40 Days of Mercy**! Today, we dive deeper into the protective power of God's mercy—how it serves as our shield and refuge in a world filled with battles, accusations, and uncertainties. Psalm 91:1-4 invites us to dwell in the secret place of the Most High, where His mercy covers us like wings, making His faithfulness our shield. His mercy doesn't merely pardon; it actively defends, preserves, and delivers us from harm.
No weapon formed against you can ultimately prosper when God's mercy surrounds you (Isaiah 54:17). In times of danger, sickness, opposition, or spiritual warfare, His compassion rises as a fortress—blocking the enemy's advances, nullifying curses, and turning potential defeat into triumphant safety. Ephesians 2:4-5 reminds us that God, being rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in sins—His mercy quickens and shields life itself. Psalm 32:10 declares, "Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love [mercy] surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord."
As you pray these points with expectation, let God's shielding mercy envelop you afresh. Allow it to rebuke every threat, fortify your faith, guard your loved ones, and position you in divine security. **God's mercy is your refuge today**—run into it, rest under it, and rise victorious through its protective embrace!
