1 Pet 1:18-19

: 1 Peter 1:18-19 (KJV) – "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

*Sermon:* Beloved, today we gather to reflect on one of the most profound truths of our faith: we have been ransomed, not by fleeting treasures of this world, but by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The word "ransomed" speaks of a price paid to set a captive free. Each of us was once held captive by sin, bound by the chains of darkness, family idols, patterns and strongholds but through the blood of Jesus, we have been redeemed, set free, and brought into the marvelous light of God’s grace. Before we can appreciate the ransom, we must understand the captivity from which we were delivered. The Bible tells us that all humanity was born into sin, enslaved by its power and separated from God. Romans 3:23 (KJV) – "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Sin entered the world through Adam (Romans 5:12), and every person inherited a sinful nature, leading to spiritual death and bondage and negative generational patterns. Our "vain conversation" (1 Peter 1:18)—our empty, sinful way of life—was passed down through generations, keeping us in chains of negative family patterns. Being ransomed by the blood of Christ changes everything—our status, our purpose, and our destiny. Revelation 5:9 (KJV) – "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation."

The blood of Jesus not only frees us from sin but reconciles us to God (Colossians 1:20). We are no longer slaves but children of God (Galatians 4:7). His ransom gives us a new identity, a new purpose (to live for God’s glory), and a new destiny (eternal life). It also empowers us to overcome the enemy (Revelation 12:11).

*Prayer Points*

1. Heavenly Father, I thank you for the work of deliverance that you have started in my life, may your name be glorified

2. Heavenly Father, I plead the blood of Jesus to break every generational curse in my family line. Scripture: Galatians 3:13 – "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree."

3. I renounce and nullify every evil covenant made by my ancestors, in Jesus’ name. Colossians 2:14 – "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross."

4. Lord, set me free from every inherited bondage affecting my destiny. John 8:36 – "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

5. By the authority of Jesus, I break every evil pattern of failure and limitation in my family. Romans 6:14 – "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

6. Father, separate me from every generational sin that hinders my walk with You. Isaiah 59:2 – "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

7. I destroy every evil altar speaking against my life and family, in Jesus’ name. Numbers 23:29 – "And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams."

8. Lord, restore everything the enemy has stolen from me through generational cycles in Jesus name. Joel 2:25 – "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."

9. I break every ungodly soul tie from my ancestors affecting my life, in Jesus’ name. 2 Corinthians 6:14 – "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?"

10. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse my bloodline from every iniquity and defilement. Hebrews 9:22 – "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

11. Father, uproot every evil seed planted in my family line by the enemy. Matthew 15:13 – "But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."

12. Lord, shield me and my family from generational attacks of the enemy in Jesus mighty name. Psalm 91:1 – "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

13. I break every generational curse of poverty and lack in my lineage, in Jesus’ name. 2 Corinthians 8:9 – "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."

14. By Your stripes, Lord, I declare healing over every generational sickness in my family. Isaiah 53:5 – "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

15. I command every evil foundation in my family to crumble, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 11:3 – "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

16. Father, help me to establish a godly legacy for my descendants through Your grace. Proverbs 22:6 – "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

17. I silence every accuser from my ancestral line by the blood of Jesus. Revelation 12:11 – "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony."

18. Lord, deliver my family from every form of idolatry passed down through generations. Exodus 20:4 – "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above."

19. I renounce every evil dedication made on my behalf or my family’s, in Jesus’ name. 1 Corinthians 6:20 – "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s."

20. Lord, renew my mind and spirit, free from generational strongholds in Jesus name. Romans 12:2 – "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind."

21. I break every cycle of addiction in my family by the power of the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 – "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."

22. I declare victory over every generational enemy attacking my destiny, in Jesus’ name.1 John 5:4 – "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

23. Father, establish a new covenant of blessing and favor over my family. Hebrews 8:10 – "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts."
