Gen 37:31-34
31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;
32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.
33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.
34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.
Sermon: Joseph was a dreamer with a bright Glory, he was to be the saviour of his people in the time of famine but his glory was attacked by his brothers who never wanted him to be greater than them. Joseph was also loved by his father, this is to tell us that being loved by our heavenly Father does not shield us from hate by people as this may be the reason why you are hated. God can decide to shower you with so much love that envy springs up in the hearts of others who feel that they have been neglected by God. For Joseph his garment of beauty was taken from him and soacked in blood, this means that his glory was attacked, the most precious thing that was given to Joseph by his father was his garment, when we talk about the glory of a person being attacked, it is the most precious things and most valuable things in the person's life that is being attacked, Saul's eldest son Jonathan was killed, Eli lost his two son's Ophni and Phinehas, Job lost his ten children and everything he had. Today God is saying there shall be no more loss, he says the days of your loss is over and from now you will begin to profit. Joseph never let his fall limit him, he stood up and conquered against all odds, What was lost in the fall can be regained in the rise. Your glory is not gone; it’s waiting for your comeback."
